Mother Teresa was one of his admirers and always encouraged him in his artistic endeavor. She has personally embossed her signature on a painting depicting her as the mother of mercy. Mother has encouraged him number of times to exhibit his paintings. Gorden Conwell Theological Seminary of South Hamilton, U.S.A. has made a documentary film on him entitled ‘Nimai’s Vision‘. Pope John Paul II sent him a letter appreciating his paintings and Queen Elizabeth send him her best wishes for holding an art exhibition on the theme ‘Sacred Soul’.

About The Painter

Nimai Sengupta, an artist and sculptor, was born in Rajbadh, Burdwan district of West Bengal. Mr. Sengupta carried forward this tradition through his artistic endeavors to the world by his selfless teaching and instilling the spirit of creativity in his students.
